BrainON Manuscript Counter — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-10-18
BrainON Manuscript Counter does not collect, store or share personal data.
Your files
Manuscripts you open in the app are processed only on your iPhone. They are never uploaded. The app makes a temporary copy while counting and deletes it when counting finishes.
Prices and exchange rate
When you open the price estimate, the app downloads the current price list from brainon.ca and the USD/CAD exchange rate from the Bank of Canada. These requests contain no information about you or your files. As with any internet request, these servers receive your device's IP address; we do not use it to identify you.

Open Calc opens the brainon.ca calculator inside the app and adds the word count, image count, book type and options you chose to the page address, so the calculator can be filled in. The file name is added after the "#" sign of the address: browsers do not send that part to the server, and the page removes it as soon as it has shown the name. Other buttons open brainon.ca in your default browser. Your visit to brainon.ca is covered by the website's privacy policy, https://brainon.ca/privacy-policy/. The website uses Google Analytics.
No tracking
The app has no analytics, advertising or tracking, and no accounts. It stores one setting on your device: which headline was shown last.
