Who it's for
You have a printer in mind and want the finished book files to meet its production requirements. BrainON handles the technical conversation as part of your book layout, connecting the page design with the way your book will be made.
You can bring us the printer’s instructions and questions as you receive them. We turn those requirements into practical decisions for the final files, so you can keep your attention on the book rather than collect a new vocabulary of production settings.
What's included
Printer coordination includes communicating with your selected printer and checking the technical specifications needed for production. We use those requirements when preparing the final layout files, including the print-ready PDF.
Coordination is included when BrainON prepares your book layout. You have someone to connect the printer’s technical language with the design work, whether you are producing a text-led book or an illustrated edition. Image preparation in Photoshop, retouching where needed and text wrapping around illustrations are also part of the layout work. Printing, binding and delivery are handled and charged by your printer. Clear file preparation gives the production handoff a useful starting point: the book the printer is expecting to receive.
How it works
- Introduce your printer. Send its production instructions and tell us which edition you want to make. Include any technical questions you have already received.
- Check the specifications. We communicate with the printer to clarify what the production files need, including the requirements that affect the layout.
- Prepare the layout files. We apply the printer’s requirements to the final design and prepare the print-ready PDF.
- Hand over the production files. Your printer receives files prepared for its production process, with the design and technical requirements brought together.
